Attendee FAQ

Pulse is the world’s largest gathering of Customer Success, Product, and Community professionals. It brings together business leaders and practitioners every year to share ideas, strategize best practices, and build relationships with the larger community. It’s also the biggest stage for our value of “Child-like Joy,” with rap songs, musical theater, parody videos, and more!

Over the last nine years, Pulse has been home to more than 5,500 in-person attendees and more than 20k virtual attendees spanning six continents and attracting professionals from all industries and levels—from recent college graduates to executives of Fortune 500 companies, including GE, Microsoft, Cisco, Salesforce, and more. Past speakers include Gretchen Rubin, Malcolm Gladwell, Beth Comstock, Salman Khan, and others.

Pulse officially kicks off on Wednesday, August 17th at 7:00 AM PT and concludes on Thursday, August 18th at 5:00 PM PT. The in-person Pulse Party is from 6:30 PM PT – 9:30 PM PT on Thursday, August 18th.

The Pulse In-Person Standard Conference Pass is $1,695 + tax and fees. Special pricing will be available leading up to the event dates.

  • Super Early Bird Pricing: $949 + tax and fees, Available March 8 – March 31, 2022
  • Early Bird Pricing: $1,195 + tax and fees, Available April 1 – May 31, 2022
  • Advanced Rate: $1,395 + tax and fees, Available June 1 – July 31, 2022

Pulse In-Person Conference Passes will have access to the Welcome Reception, Keynotes, Breakout Sessions, Expo Hall and the official Pulse Party. Continental Breakfast, Lunch and light snacks are included with all Pulse Conference Passes.

The Pulse Virtual Conference Pass is $599 + tax and fees and will have access to Keynotes, Breakout Sessions, and the virtual Expo Hall.

Pulse Academy Live! is the premier Customer Success educational event in the world, offering a multi-track, day-long immersive educational experience for CS professionals of all levels. New to 2022, we are offering a track geared towards Product professionals.

  • Advanced Customer Success Essentials for CSMs

    Join us for a high energy training with exciting presentations and activities to accelerate your CSM skills! Advanced Customer Success Essentials will provide participants with leading practices, processes and skills for succeeding as a Customer Success Manager. This session will feature a mix of content, discussions, and interactive workshops focused on providing immediately actionable practices that CSMs can use to better engage and grow their customers.   • Customer Success Leadership Essentials

    Are you currently leading a Customer Success team or aspiring to a leadership role? Customer Success Leadership Essentials will provide participants with leading practices, processes and skills for leading a customer success team.   • Gainsight 101: Gainsight Admin Foundations

    For new Admins, we invite you to jumpstart your learning with a day of exciting, foundational content to help you become a successful Gainsight Admin. Follow along as we demonstrate how to achieve Data Readiness and effective Data Management; configure and work with the Rules Engine and Health Scorecards; as well as master CTA triggers and playbooks, and Reports and Dashboards. These sessions will combine directed instructions with collaborative group work to create a dynamic learning experience. As a result of completing this course, you’ll be prepared to complete your “Gainsight Associate Admin” Certification. Seats are limited to ensure a highly interactive and hands-on training experience!

  • Gainsight Admin 200 Series

    Are you a Gainsight Admin that wants to learn how to leverage some of the advanced Gainsight functionality to connect and analyze data in your instance more effectively? This year Gainsight will host a LIVE, interactive, full-day session on advanced admin topics. We will share configuration and best practice tips from some of our most seasoned technical resources. You’ll have a chance to collaborate with other Gainsight admins and work through hands-on exercises in a safe training environment. Wanna know more?   • Driving Product Adoption and Prioritizing Your Roadmap for Growth Using Gainsight PX

    Join Gainsight’s PX team for an exciting hands-on workshop focused on giving you the tools to build a data-driven roadmap, successful user enablement / onboarding experiences, and an engaging product release experience. Guest speakers will also share best practices to orchestrate a successful end to end customer journey through cross-functional collaboration. Seats are limited to maintain a highly interactive and hands-on training experience!

You do not need a Pulse Conference Pass to attend Pulse Academy Live. We do recommend purchasing both to get the full Pulse experience, but it’s not required.

The health and safety of Pulse attendees is Gainsight’s highest priority. We are following state and local government guidelines and adhering to venue requirements. In-person attendees will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Additional details will be shared with registered attendees as the date approaches.

To apply a promo code to your order, choose your desired ticket type and quantity first, then enter your promo code in the text box labeled “Promo Code” located above the “Order Now” button, then press Order Now.

Please note that only one (1) promo code can be applied per ticket. We are unable to retroactively apply promo codes to existing tickets.

    Cancel between March 8th – May 31st for a 50% refund minus a $150 fee.
    No refunds after June 1, 2022.
    If you’ve purchased an in-person ticket and are no longer able to travel to San Francisco, please reach out to pulseus@gainsight.com and we will transfer your registration to a virtual ticket. Ticket transfers before July 31, 2022 will be refunded the difference in ticket rates. Ticket transfers after August 1, 2022 will be refunded 50% of the difference in ticket rates.

You can transfer your Pulse Conference Pass at no charge by emailing pulseus@gainsight.com.

Anyone wanting to attend Pulse must be registered for a Pulse Conference Pass.

Confirmed speakers will receive one (1) Pulse Conference Pass.

We do not offer a one day pass to Pulse, however, you may purchase a Pulse Conference Pass and only attend one day.

The Mobile App will be launched in early August. Keep an eye out for an email with further information!

Registration for individual sessions will not be required. However, you will be able to build a personal agenda via the Mobile App in August. Instructions will be sent to all registered attendees in early August.

Sessions do not repeat. It’s definitely possible that there will be multiple concurrent sessions across different tracks that you’d want to attend (this is partly why we always encourage multiple people to attend from an organization, so they can divide and conquer the great content). The good news is that after the conference we distribute recordings and slides from every session, so even if you miss one, you’ll be able to get caught up.

There is no specific dress code for Pulse, however, business casual is generally appropriate.

We’ve negotiated discounted rates for Pulse attendees at three nearby hotels. All recommended hotels are within walking distance to Moscone Center.

San Francisco’s climate is, if nothing else, dependably changeable. Temperatures and conditions change literally by the hour and can differ markedly from one part of the city to the other. In August, days usually start and end in fog with a few sunny hours in between. To prepare for your visit, make sure to bring along a few warm items. You will need these in the mornings and evenings.

Gainsight will provide support services upon request. There will be no child care services available onsite at Pulse. Please inquire about child care services or recommendations with the concierge at your selected hotel. Be certain to make arrangements prior to your arrival in San Francisco.

Moscone Center will have designated areas for privacy. Please check back closer to event dates for specific locations and information.

Rental arrangements can be made directly with a local provider such as Scoot-Around at (888) 441-7575.

There will be seating marked Reserved for Accessible Seating in the Keynote and Session Rooms. All events and receptions will have seating available for those who are unable to stand for long periods of time.

All Keynotes will have front row seating reserved for those with mobility, visual, or interpreting needs.

Shuttle service to/from hotels are not provided as all hotels are within walking distance to Moscone.

Please note that there are no coat check facilities available at Moscone. Please plan to keep your personal belongings to a minimum for your comfort.

We will not be recording any academy sessions, as these courses are tailored to an in-person experience.

Please ensure you bring a charged laptop/with power, and notepad/pen if you wish to make notes on a session. For some sessions we will encourage you to keep laptops closed and phone usage minimized to achieve full engagement from all participants. There will be breaks built into the day for opportunities to check emails. If there is prep work for your course, you will be notified in advance.

Pulse Academy Live is an in-person only event. However, we offer an elearning companion for customer success training called Pulse+.

Yes! We are excited to bring Pulse Academy Live to London on the 8th of November. Stay tuned for more details on the specific tracks available for registration.

There will not be any on-site certification, however attendees who complete the Admin 101 course can receive a free voucher to apply for certification through our verified program. For any attendees of the Admin 200 course who would like to attain their Level 3 Gainsight NXT Admin certification, then there will be a discount voucher to the value of $150 which is 50% of the certification cost.
